WVCA Board Meeting (virtual) - Thursday October 20th at 7 p.m.

Good day,

The WVCA is holding its next board meeting this coming Thursday evening, October 20th, at 7:00 p.m.

Meeting location: Virtual (Google Meet: https://meet.google.com/top-egzj-dye)

General Assembly (7-730):
- Welcome new members, roundtable and introductions
- General updates including:
* Updates on the Parkette

* Municipal election

* New concerns

Community/members-at-large may drop off the call
- Updates:

   * Treasurers' report
   * Meetings attended (K9)
   * Newcomers' Event hosted by Yasir Yaqvi
   * Communications updates: newsletter + stats, opportunity for a new website, agenda for upcoming topics
   * Discuss Committees + elect Directors

Wellington Village is a vibrant Ottawa neighbourhood bounded by Island Park Drive to the west, Scott Street to the north, Holland Avenue to the east and the Queensway to the south. Tree lined streets, red brick facades, great schools, and a main street of independent businesses, food shops and artisans have helped turn this area into one of Ottawa’s most enjoyable communities. The new LRT station at Tunney’s Pasture connects Wellington Village to the downtown and beyond in minutes.

Upcoming WVCA Meetings:

The WVCA June meeting was held with the board only on June 17. There is no open public meeting for June.

The WVCA typically doesn't meet in July or August, so our next WVCA meeting will be in September. Check back for a date/time

Usually the WVCA meets the third Thursday of each month at Fisher park School from 7:30-9:00 p.m.

~Enter via Holland Ave doors, turn right upon entering, room 111 is down hall on your right.

~Accessible entrance via Harmer Avenue only: Enter the school and head straight down the main hall, turn left at the end and room 111 will be on your rightt.
