As you may have already noticed, the construction for 1445 Wellington St. West began this week.
Although a pre-construction meeting is being planned by Jeff Leiper's office, unfortunately, Mizhari is moving ahead before this pre-construction meeting can take place. Here is the initial construction schedule:

Sadly, the parklette is being impacted by the construction. Mizhari decided that in order for them to build this
project, they need to stage in the parklette, which will require the trees to
be cut down. Clearly, the WVCA is not happy with this decision. The alternative option
would have seen them stage on the Wellington West sidewalk and part of the
road. Obviously, this is not ideal as well and would greatly impact the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and drivers.
Mizrahi is paying the City for the tree loss and new trees will be planted in
the parklette when that is being developed.
