The Wellington Village Community Association (WVCA) is a volunteer, non-profit community group of local residents that represents over 1,500 households in our neighbourhood.
Re: Spencer St. rehabilitation. Did the WVCA recommend the traffic-calming bump-outs on the north-east corners along Spencer St? Seems to me they would do nothing to discourage drivers LEAVING Tunney's Pasture from speeding on streets between Scott and Spencer, then through to Wellington. Perhaps on the WEST corners they would slow such travellers. To slow traffic on Spencer I would have thought these (very) large bump outs would be of more use ON Spencer. As is, I think they are irrelevant in solving speeding, and take up a whole parking space on each street.
