Notice of Public Hearings for 251 (and 253) Carleton Avenue

The Wellington Village Community Association has received notification of a minor variance application to the Committee of Adjustment for 251 Carleton Avenue, a property owned by Michel and Antonios Maatouk. The owners want to demolish the existing one-and-a-half storey detached dwelling and subdivide the property into two separate parcels of land. It is proposed to construct a new two-storey semi-detached dwelling, with one dwelling unit on each of the newly created parcels. In addition to requiring the consent of the Committee for Conveyances, the owners are seeking approval for the following variances for both 251 and 253 Carleton:

  • to permit a reduced lot width of 7.625 metres, whereas the by-law requires a minimum width of 9m

  • to permit a reduced lot area of 232.11 square metres, whereas the by-law requires a minimum lot area of 270 square metres.

This item will be heard by the Committee of Adjustment on August 5, 2015 starting at 1:00 pm at 101 Centrepointe Drive, Ben Franklin Place, The Chamber.
If you have any questions or comments for the Committee of Adjustment, please contact the Committee: Paul Conner at 613 580-2424 ext. 13459 or Emily Monette at 613-580-2424, ext. 23255.
