From the City of Ottawa to the WVCA:
Yes, we are delayed in getting the tender out for construction, due to the changed servicing requirements for splash pad drainage and other technical revisions of the detailed plans.
As a result, our schedule has been revised to issue the tender next month, to take advantage of 2012 equipment pricing and to be on the street before a large number of other projects are tendered in February/March, which can mean less competitive bidding.
We would prefer to stipulate a firm completion date for construction rather than stipulate a start date.
