Minor Variance Notice (72 Smirle)
WVCA has received notification of an application for consent to demolish the existing dwelling in order to construct a new 2-storey detached dwelling. The owner requires a minor variances from the zoning by-laws as follows:
- to permit a reduced northerly corner sideyard setabck of 0.61m (by-law requires 3.0m)
- to permit a reduced front yard setback of 2.21m (by-law requires 3.0m)
- to permit eaves to project 1.5m into the northerly sideyard (by-law permits eaves to project 1m into a yard but no closer than 0.3m to a lot line)
- to permit a canopy to be located 0.15m from corner side yard lot line (by-law permits canopy to project 1.8m into an interior side yard but no closer than 0.6m to a side lot line)
This application will be considered by the Committee of Adjustment on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, starting at 1pm.
To comment on this application, letters may be submitted to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Committee, email cofa@ottawa.ca, or in writing to 101 Centrepointe Drive, Ottawa, K2G 5K7. Additional information may also be obtained from Paul Conner at 613-580-2424, extension 13459, or Madeleine Albert, at 613-580-2424, extension 41662.

Join other interested residents and learn more about the project's progress and the proposed ideas for the study. Add your opinions and tell the project team what ideas need to be changed before the study's recommendations are finalized for approval by Committee and Council.
