Call for Interest! The NEW WVCA Real Estate and Development Subcommittee

The WVCA is happy to announce the formation of a new subcommittee, the "Real Estate and Development Subcommittee". This committee will advise the WVCA board on issues related to planning and development in Wellington Village.

The Subcommittee will meet on the second Thursday of each month from 6:00-7:00 p.m. The first meeting of the new Subcommittee will be held at Fisher Park School on Thursday November 14th, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in Room 112.

Byron Path Pumpkin Parade!

The WVCA is a proud sponsor of the Byron Path Pumpkin Parade, a long-running tradition in Wellington Village! Be sure to come by at dusk on November 1st to view the long line of pumpkins between Granville Avenue and Island Park Drive! Drop off your pumpkins throughout the day of November 1st and volunteers will set them up!

This event is generously co-hosted and sponsored by Councillor Jeff Leiper.

Note, we also need a few last volunteers to help early on the morning of November 2nd! We need help with the removal of non-organics (candles, etc.) on the morning after the parade. If you can help, please come to Byron Linear Park on Saturday November 2nd around 7 a.m. Thank you in advance!

Wellington Village is a vibrant Ottawa neighbourhood bounded by Island Park Drive to the west, Scott Street to the north, Holland Avenue to the east and the Queensway to the south. Upcoming WVCA Meetings:

The next WVCA board meeting is Thursday September 26th, from 7:30-9:00 p.m.

The following meetings are tentatively scheduled for Thursday October 17th and Thursday November 21st.

Usually the WVCA meets the third Thursday of each month at Fisher park School from 7:30-9:00 p.m.

~Enter via Holland Ave doors, turn right upon entering, room 112 is down hall on your left.

~Accessible entrance via Harmer Avenue only: Enter the school and head straight down the main hall, turn left at the end and room 112 will be on your left.
