Planning Primer Elective: Residential Intensification and Infill

From the City of Ottawa:

Saturday, November 16 or Monday, November 18, 2013

Colonel Room, Second Floor
8:30 am to noon
Register for this elective provided you have already completed Primer I and Primer II,
This elective will explore:

  • What is meant by "residential intensification", what are the intensification targets in the Official Plan, where is it expected to occur within the city and why,

  • The three ways in which small-scale infill projects are approved, and the consultation and development review processes by which they are approved, and

  • How larger-scale infill projects are approved and what factors are considered by the department in approving them.
